Bridge Project over the Oti River, Dambai, Ghana

FDN Group is proud to contribute to the development of a landmark infrastructure project in Ghana: a 1,500-metre bridge spanning the Oti River in Dambai. Using Ultrabridge technology, this project represents a transformative step in improving connectivity and supporting regional development. FDN handled the complete design process, from local surveys and soil analysis to environmental studies, engineering, architectural design, and budget estimation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Roads and Highways.

FDN carried out the complete engineering services for contractor VBK, delivering both the preliminary and final design stages. The bridge features a distinctive steel truss structure with an orthotropic steel deck, supported by robust concrete piers, abutments, and prefabricated foundations. FDN assisted in the engineering of the Flyover Bridge A5 for Build combination A5. Our scope included the structural design of the bridge pillars, engineering of the foundation, and verification of the post-tensioned external pre-stressing system of the concrete box girder. Through our expertise, we ensured the project met the highest standards of safety, durability, and innovation.
